SSC CGL WINNING STRATEGY

SSC CGL 2015 EXAM – Are you ready ?

The obvious answer to the question is YES, I AM READY to grab the opportunity and CLEAR the SSC CGL EXAM !!! But, wait for a minute. What will be the success ratio? Lakhs of people have applied for a few thousand posts. That means you have to be really, really serious in your preparation. You should have a well laid strategy. Hence plan your studies accordingly.

To be a winner in the SSC CGL EXAM conducted by SSC you should have the following….

1.A BURNING DESIRE :
One should have a strong and burning desire to achieve his goal. Do you have it in you? Have you said to yourself seriously that yes, this job is for me. I will get it at any cost. Have you imagined yourself getting this job, working there and leading a happy life? If not then you should! Trigger your mind and imagine. Imagine that you have got the job, your life is secure and that you are enjoying that life.

As Dr Abdul kalam said,” Dream, Dream, Dream. Dreams transform into thoughts and thoughts result in action”.

The strong desire will always push you towards studies. All the studies will be a child’s play. You will never get bored and even start wishing if only you had some more time to study. The SSC exams are becoming tougher by the day. Hence you should prepare for the SSC CGL EXAM, keeping in view the tough competition that you will have to face. If you have a strong desire to get the coveted post, then irrespective of toughness of competition, you are going to win.
2.POWER OF BELIEF:
Mahatma Gandhi said, ” Men often become what they believe themselves to be. If I believe that I cannot do something, then I become incapable of doing it. But, when I BELIEVE I CAN, then I acquire the ability to do it even if I didn’t have it before”.

You should believe in yourself first. YES YOU CAN WIN. You are the person who will decide your fate. If you believe you can pass the SSC CGL EXAM with flying colours, then you will acquire all the necessary things which will help you in your victory. You will acquire new knowledge, tricks, techniques, you will buy books or join tuition, you will solve a lot of model papers etc.. and help yourself in clinching the job. I don’t want to discuss what if you don’t believe!!!!! I would love to BELIEVE that YES YOU BELIEVE in yourself, your ability, your capability and your efforts and thus pass the SSC CGL EXAM with very high score.
Remember that you are the maker of your own destiny.

3.EFFORTS
Once, a man approached a monk and asked him why he could not see GOD inspite of all his efforts. The monk just smiled and didn’t reply. The man kept on disturbing the monk with his question. At last, the monk asked the man to accompany him to a nearby sea. Both went for a bath. The monk suddenly pushed the man’s head into water and held there strongly. The man tried a lot to escape from clutches of the monk, but failed. At last with all force he pushed the monk away and took a deep breath. After returning to normalcy he asked the monk why the monk did so. The monk said with a smile on his face that in order to see GOD he required an effort of similar nature. He should put all his energy and only then he can succeed. The man understood his mistake.

Did you understand your mistake? Are you like the man above ? Do you go around complaining, that despite your efforts you could not clear the competitive exams. It should not happen in the SSC CGL EXAM. You should quite often ask yourself ” Am I putting my maximum effort towards the goal? If not, then pull up your socks….start preparing with full dedication.
SAY TO YOURSELF YES, I WILL CLEAR SSC CGL EXAM, COME WHAT MAY...
4. A STRONG MOTIVATION
Sir Edmond Hillary, the first man to scale Mount Everest, when asked in an interview about what was the most difficult part of his adventure replied that
“STRONG MOTIVATION IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR IN GETTING YOU TO THE TOP”.

This is true about the SSC CGL EXAM exam too. The aspirants begin with enthusiasm but it dies down later. You should find out ways to motivate yourself. The difference between the successful people and the failures is that the former are highly motivated. When their motivation level falls, they know the tricks how to again get it back. They have learnt the tricks to do so. A few things which I used to do is that….
Read motivational books especially autobiographies of those who have achieved something great in life.
Writing down those quotes which push your morale up on a piece of paper and pasting on the walls of your room.
Pasting the photos of great men on the walls.
Paste a chart on the wall and write down strong motivating thoughts, ideas whenever they strike you (For example while talking to friends, reading any book or articles etc…).
Watch interview of achievers, successful persons etc..
Keep contact with other serious candidates.

SSC CGL EXAM (TIPS TO CLEAR EASILY)
1.MEMORY METHODS ………(assured way to success)
One very important thing is to learn a few memory methods. The reason is that you have to learn hell lot of information for SSC CGL EXAM. The SSC quite often asks questions based on facts, data, figures, dates etc.. To learn all the data by heart is a cumbersome job. The memory methods will help you retain the data for a longer time.

2.BUY ONE OR TWO STANDARD BOOKS OR MATERIALS ONLY…(too many cooks spoil...)
One big mistake that the aspirants do is to buy lot many books. They will get distracted easily and so will not study from any book. You should buy any two books for SSC CGL EXAM by leading publishers who are experts in competitive exams or from coaching classes and follow them. Make sure the book covers topics comprehensively.

3.JOIN ANY COACHING CLASS IF YOU CAN AFFORD (Believe me, I am not their agent...)
To be frank, I am not an agent of any coaching institute and also I am against such institutes. But then the hard fact remains that they do exist. You are not here to prove that you have cleared the exams without the help of coaching institutes. You should think of your benefit in the long run and hence join any reputed institute which gives personal attention to aspirants for SSC CGL EXAM. The main advantage of joining coaching institute is that, you need not run around in search of materials. This is especially true in case of current affairs. Also if you feel you are not confident in maths questions asked by SSC then you should join coaching institutes.

4.SYLLABUS IS THE KING-(BOW TO IT)
This is true about any exam. Hence, in the case of the SSC CGL EXAM conducted by SSC too you should be familiar with entire syllabus. Look at the syllabus quite often. Make sure you are learning according to syllabus. The syllabus will help you to form a strategy. Find out the areas which you can score well. For example maths portion, where with proper efforts one can score full marks.
5.REVISE QUITE OFTEN
It is not enough that you study well, but you should revise often. This is required to retain the studied portions for a longer time. With repeated revision, you can save time and utilise it for learning more ….Regarding how to revise, how many times to revise and some important revision techniques I will write soon an article..

6.SOLVE AS MANY OLD QUESTION PAPERS AS YOU CAN
Practice makes a man perfect. Learning things alone won’t suffice. You should test your knowledge often. For this previous years question papers are best. Also you will get an idea of the SSC ‘s way of setting question papers. You can get previous years papers from internet or books.

7.PREPARING MODEL PAPERS ON YOUR OWN
After covering each topic, try to form a few questions on that topic. This way setting a model paper for SSC CGL EXAM yourself will help you get a good grasp over the subject and also boost your confidence.

8.DRINK PLENTY OF WATER
Our brain needs plenty of oxygen while studying and hence we should drink a lot of water during studies. Keep a bottle of water near your table always.

9.NO PHONE CALLS, SOCIAL MEDIA, TV, CINEMA AND CRICKET TILL EXAM IS OVER
If you want to grab the dream job, then you should be ready for some sacrifice as well. It is after all a matter of a few days. You can rejoin with all the above said, after the exams. Tell to yourselves quite often that you will not waste time till the exam is over.

10 .TAKING CARE OF HEALTHYou may reject this advise thinking it is rubbish. But believe me health is an important factor. It is important that you learn how to balance things. you should give rest to your eyes and also eat healthy food (especially for those who are staying in hostels ). Be very careful about your health till the SSC CGL EXAM is over.
